You may never get to tee it up in a U.S. Open or Women’s Open, but if you want to feel as if you’re playing U.S. Open-caliber greens then join
us for the inaugural “Oxford Greens Open”. That day superintendent Bryan Barrington will have the bentgrass putting surfaces at Oxford Greens rolling at 13 and a half feet on the Stimpmeter, the same speeds the best men’s and women’s golfers will face in June at Pinehurst No. 2, the site of this year’s two American opens. The Oxford Greens “U.S. Open” experience goes beyond green speeds though. Thanks to our designer Mark Mungeam, the “Open Doctor” responsible for preparing Olympia Fields’ hosting of the 2003 U.S. Open, Oxford Greens will give you even more of a chance to experience a U.S. Open-like test. Influenced by many of the most highly regarded Golden Era architects whose layouts have hosted U.S. Opens, Oxford Greens features a number of greens complexes that have been featured in many US Open Championships.
