Oxford Greens opens with a medium length, straightaway par-4. There is little trouble off the tee, although a specimen oak tree juts into the right side of the landing area. A fairway bunker on the left should affect long hitters only. The key to the hole is the delicate approach to a wide, shallow green with a deep, central pot bunker guarding the front and a stonewall behind. The green is fashioned after the famous Road Hole #17 green at St. Andrews.
